History of AES
Amani Exceptional Services was founded in 2018 , we provide services to adults with developmental disabilities as described in The Lanterman Act (The Lanterman Act, Title 17 of the California Code of Regulations Chapter 3- Community Services, SubChapter 19 - Supported Living Services Article 2- General Provisions). This is supported by Alta California Regional Center through the Supported Living Services (SLS). These individuals, through the Individual Program Plan (IPP) ,choose to live in homes they themselves own or lease in the community.
This is a program funded by Alta California Regional Center. The program provides every day support to clients with significant disabilities to enable them to live in their own homes . This can vary from a few hours each day to twenty-four hour support. Some of the clients in SLS are non-ambulatory and require physical assistance , while others require monitoring of conditions such as diabetes. Staff members work with clients in their own homes and out in the community. The focus of this program is to live full and healthy lives, despite their disabilities.
